A Novel Love Story

A Novel Love Story by Ashley Poston is a beautiful story about Eileen “Elsy” Merriweather, an English professor who finds herself in need of an annual book club retreat. When her car unexpectedly breaks down on the way, she finds herself in a little town that is…no it couldn’t be…but it is! A little town right out of her favorite romance book series! The town is fictional, yet here she is.

A Novel Love Story follows Elsy as she tries to figure out how and why she ended up here.

Ashley Poston writes in the reader’s guide at the end of the book, “That’s the magic of stories. They entertain you. They challenge you. They comfort you. They transport you to somewhere only you can find, and somewhere you can stay for as long as you like…like a tattoo on the heart, the story stays.”

I think that’s why I enjoy Ashley’s stories so much. She has such a way of writing that puts you right in the middle of the story and makes you want to stay there and experience what the main characters are feeling.
