Heart Bones

For the longest time I wondered if the hype that surrounds Colleen Hoover is accurate. My friend from work gave be Heart Bones to borrow and I do have to say that the book was wonderful.

The story follows Beyah Grim, a girl who has only known a life of poverty, after an unexpected death. She must now decide where she is going to live and turns to her estranged father for help. This leaves her to spend her summer on a peninsula in Texas with people she doesn’t even know.

She wishes for this summer to go by quickly, wanting to stay as invisible as possible…that is until Samson, the wealthy, brooding guy that lives next door shows up and the connection is immediate and undeniable.

Beyah and Samson must now decide whether or not they want to pursue the connection with their futures leading them in different directions in two short months.

The fate of their relationship is in their hands…or is it?
