Titanic Survivors Book Club

When I saw this book on the shelf in the indie book store that I went to, I was super excited. I thought “a book about the Titanic and books?! This is going to be awesome!” Well this book took me over a month to finish, given we’ve had some family stuff going on that took priority, but this book also was not what I expected at all.

This book is about a group of Titanic “survivors” who come together and form a book club based out of the book shop of one of the “survivors” in Paris.

In addition to the book club theme, there is a love triangle in the main story line that lends its hand to a heavy LGBTQ+ theme in this book, so if that’s not your thing, I would not recommend this book to you.

With all that being said, the author, Timothy Schaffert, is a very descriptive writer leaving it easy to imagine everything that he is writing about in your mind, transporting you to another world back in time.
